History
Ann Charlton MBE was a long term sufferer of multiple sclerosis. Ann devoted her final years to raising the funds to build this residential nursing care home which is named in her honour and memory.
The Lodge opened in August 1992 to provide high quality nursing care for residents with life limiting illnesses. It is believed to be unique in Britain, being the only such home run by an independent charity.
